Publication Policy
About this library
The Ad & LP Library takes landing pages (LPs) that companies have made publicly available, analyzes them by computer, and presents the results (appeals, offers, structure and more) for marketing research. The main content of each page is Doyle's analysis; LP images and text are shown only as far as needed to accompany that analysis, small and in part, together with the source (a link to the original page).
How LPs are read
- We read only public pages that anyone can view without logging in.
- Pages that robots.txt asks us not to read are not read.
- We read each site once a month, up to a dozen or so pages, so as not to burden the site.
- The name of our reading robot is "Doyle-Product-Info".
Images and text
- LP images are captured by Doyle by displaying the public page at smartphone width, then reduced in size. We show the capture date and link to the source (the original page). The content reflects the time of capture.
- Copyrights, trademarks and other rights in LPs belong to each company and other rights holders. LPs are shown for research and commentary on their structure and appeals, and we are not affiliated with the companies shown.
- We do not reproduce long passages of LP text verbatim (short catchphrases and the like may be quoted within the analysis).
- "Points that generally need care in expressions" introduces general issues for that industry and does not judge whether the expressions of any LP or company shown are appropriate.
Ad creatives
- Ad creatives are contributed by Doyle users (Doyle does not automatically collect them from ad platform screens).
- Before publishing, we check whether the image is actually an ad. Images are shown at reduced size, and figures such as spend and results are not published. The name and company of the contributor are not shown.
- Copyrights, trademarks and other rights in ads belong to each company and other rights holders. Ads are shown for research and commentary on their appeals and expression, and we are not affiliated with the companies shown.
Removal requests
If you do not want content shown, please let us know via the removal request form. Requests from that company's email address are removed automatically on the spot. Otherwise, content is removed once you open the link in the confirmation email. Removed content will not be added automatically again.
Contact
For questions about what we publish, please reach us via the contact form (for removal requests, use the removal request form).
